Carl Piutti (1846-1902) was a teacher at Leipzig Conservatory and served as the organist at St. Thomas’s in Leipzig. He produced a large body of organ music in a neo-romantic style. His »Two-Hundred Chorale Preludes for the Organ«, op. 34, figure among the best-known liturgical organ pieces of the late 19th century.
