Articulation and Dynamics

As with other composers of the the 18^th and 19^th centuries Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's music suffers today from concert performances based on over-edited publications first made available in the second half of the 19th century.

For example in the second version performed today the articulation here clearly contradicts what Mendelssohn wrote.
