The Bärenreiter-Website

Bärenreiter's Website is divided into a presentation section on the one hand and a shop section on the other hand. The presentation section contains web pages giving a title survey with detailed information. The shop section is based on a database and offers search and order forms.


Search the database

There are two search forms on the Bärenreiter Webpage. The quick search in the left menu frame is permanently available. It is a reduced version of the detailed search, accessible by clicking on the button in the left menu frame. In both search forms you may type in a keyword or select a search term from the pulldown menus. If your search did not lead to the results you expected, please try again with other search terms.


SSL coding on the Bärenreiter website

Orders placed on the Bärenreiter website are ssl coded. You may see this by either by "https://" in the adress field of your browser or by viewing the properties of the pages by doing a right click with your mouse. Additionally, the TrustCenter icon in the left menu frame gives you more information on the ssl coding.


How do I order Bärenreiter Editions

Important note:
The listed EURO prices are fixed retail prices only in Germany. Please note that in all other countries dealers are free to calculate their own prices, taking into consideration their import costs. Errors excepted; price changes and delivery terms subject to change without notice.

When you have put the titles of your choice into your shopping cart and view your cart (users of the Internet Explorer may press the key F11 to change your display to full screen mode and later back to normal mode), you have to log into our ordering process. You may either log in as a new customer or as a registered customer (if you already have a customer number).

Please note that the terms of delivery of the allocated dealer are valid.

Step 1: Shopping Basket
To get to the customer registration or the login for the ordering process, please click on the headline "shopping basket" in the left menu frame.


Step 2: Log in as a new customer
Please complete all the required data. The fields marked with an asterisk must be completed. The password should be one of your own choice and contain at least 6 characters, but not more than 8.
When all the data has been typed in, please click "ok" at the bottom of the page. On the next two pages you are asked to select a dealer in your country who will supply you (see Step 3).
Attention: you will be supplied at the dealer's prices.
After you click on "ok" you will receive confirmation of your customer number and your password by return e-mail. Please keep this data for future orders, so that you can then log in as registered customer *).
In order to select a dealer who should supply you with the music you wish to order, please proceed as follows in Step 3.

*) Doing a quick login as a registered customer leads you directly to the page described in Step 4.

Step 3: Dealer Selection
Please select your country from the pulldown box at the bottom of the page. Click on "go". Please select the dealer of your choice from the pulldown box at the bottom of the page. Click on "go" or "ok".


Step 4: Possibility to save your shopping cart
After clicking on "go" or "ok" you will find the page displaying the shopping basket again. Here you may save your shopping basket if you want to change your basket later on (add some titles that are not yet published or delete some items). If you do not want to save your shopping basket, please click on "click here to finish order" to complete the last step of the entire ordering process..


Step 5: Send Order
On the last page of the ordering process your order once again is displayed including your address and the dealer you selected.
Click on "send order" at the bottom of the page.
You can now print your order from the webpage which appears on your screen. When your order is completed you will receive a confirmation by return e-mail containing your order. You should either keep the e-mail or print your order. Please note, that as soon as you have submitted your order it cannot be cancelled without the prior consent of the dealer whom you selected.

Barenreiter guarantees that your data will be handled safely and that no data will be made available to a third person. Your data is kept only for order purposes.

Please note that any alterations to your order must be cleared with the dealer you have allocated.
