Dietrich Buxehude’s chorale cantata “Jesu, my Heart’s Treasure” is, like
many of the Lübeck
master’s cantatas, an opulent-sounding work which produces a grand effect with
simple
musical means. It is a piece which can be performed at many occasions in the
liturgical
domain and contains no noteworthy difficulties. Besides the score with enclosed
instrumental
parts, the choral score and supplementary parts can be obtained separately.
